14th -18th May 2018

10am – 12:30pm

This fundraising event has been set up to help raise £1,700 to send Emily

for intensive physiotherapy at Footsteps Centre near Oxford to help her learn to walk.

We have worked closely with Emily and her family over the last couple of years and grown very fond of her and her achievements overcoming everyday life. Emily has a rare chromosome disorder which means she has complex needs, she has low muscle tone(hypotonia), bilateral hearing loss and a heart condition called cardiomyopathy, and severe learning difficulties, she is non-verbal and communicates through signing Makaton. Emily ‘s family were told by doctors that they didn’t know whether she would walk or not, but today she is getting stronger and more controlled which is allowing Emily to walk by holding someone hands for support.  We feel to help her achieve her next big goal we would support her and her family by holding a coffee morning and plant sale week, to help raise funds for her intensive physiotherapy treatment.

You can learn more of why we are raising money for Emily here.

We will be splitting the proceeds with Alzheimer’s Society UK which is a charity very dear to our hearts and one which isn’t promoted enough we feel. "Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia. The word dementia describes a set of symptoms that can include memory loss and difficulties with thinking, problem-solving or language. These symptoms occur when the brain is damaged by certain diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease." Alzheimer's Society UK

Both these causes we feel are worthy of our support and hope that you agree.

So please come join us from the 14th -18th May 2018 from 10am – 12:30pm for our coffee morning and plant sale.

Located at : Bushley Village Hall Garden, Bushley,

Tewkesbury, Glos. GL20 6HT
